The funeral plans for the late Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno, the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, have been formally revealed by her family.
Her rural house in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA, will host a funeral service and burial on November 29, 2024.
These arrangements were finalized in order to honor her influential life and lasting legacy by her husband, Governor Umo Eno, the State Government, and the bereaved family.
Enobong Uwah, the chairman of the Central Planning Committee and secretary to the State Government, formally announced her funeral on Friday.
Uwah expressed the family’s appreciation for the national outpouring of love and support.
“During this extremely trying time, we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelmingly positive words, prayers, and tributes,” Uwah said.
As part of the planned celebrations to honor Pastor Patience Eno’s life, he invited friends and well-wishers to join the family.
Many people in Akwa Ibom State and beyond were impacted by the kindness and faith that Pastor Patience Eno left behind when he died away.
She was well-known for her commitment to her community and church, and her untimely death has left a noticeable hole.
“My wife was not only my partner but a pillar of strength for our family and the people of Akwa Ibom,” Eno said in an emotional homage. She will be sorely missed for her unrivaled commitment and compassion.
A week of activities has been organized in honor of her dedication to service, starting on November 20, 2024, with the opening of the Mourning House and continuing through November 26, 2024, with condolence visits.
